…Shuzhyk is the most international sausage that our furnace has ever heaten

Some of us come back from a vacation with a souvenir, some with fridge magnets, others with new life philosophies and then we have Eugenio, one of our beloved clients, fan of the brisket and a wandering spirit, that comes from Kazakhstan with a smoked sausage in a vacuum sealed bag. A love gesture. An anointed gift. A gift that resembles a wild horse, steppe and smoked.

Shuzhyk (in kazako: Шұжық).

"They call it Shuzhyk"

(said with a full mouth makes it even more appealing)

Eugenio told the story in the following way: "I've found it in a market of Kokshetau, the guy smiled to me with 4 teeth and told me that in exchange of a story regarding the pulled pork he would give it to me. It seemed like an even exchange"

And what do you put next to a Kazakh queen??

The answer is one: the new potato salad created by Meat lab. Acquired in the right season which means it's as fresh as it can get and ready to invade all of the spring plates from now until the last hamburger in August.

Rustic yet sensitive, creamy yet edgy, our potato salad is the perfect side dish for:

  • Non identified oriental sausages,

  • Meditation briskets,

  • Festival pulled pork.

Thanks Eugenio. For everything.

For bringing us the Kazakistan in a vacuum sealed bag. For making us remember that food can unite cultures, the aromas, and every now and then even the fridges.

Next time bring with you even the dude with the 4 teeth because here someone like him can be useful to cook the ribs.

Available from today at Meatlab: Spring potato salad (it works even without the kazaka sausage, but we already told you)

See you soon among embers, smoke and good things.

At Meat Lab even the Kazakistan finds a home.
